Spiritual Tools: Transcendental Meditation

Updated: Apr 21, 2021

Stepping on the path of spirituality is daunting. It is often two steps forward and four steps back. Everyone's experience is unique and beautifully individual. No matter what the journey is, it will be in your higher power's time. However, it's the spiritual tools of recovery, which get us to our destination with less speed bumps.

It has been 10 years since I moved to Italy and completed the TM (Transcendental Meditation) course with Angela Lander’s in Glasgow, Scotland.

When you step on the path of transformation and spirituality. You may experience a life beyond your wildest dreams. Or you may be presented with challenging obstacles along the way. Nevertheless, it’s an incredible adventure. My wise gran reassures me that my future- self will want to do it all over again when I get to her age. That I should enjoy each and every minute of it. That the sweet is never as sweet without the sour.

However, the frequency and energy in which we emit will attract exactly that back into our lives. A low energy consists of feeling stressed, overwhelmed and ungrounded. A vital energy will create feelings of peace, harmony and clarity. This is called the spiritual malady (sick), when we are off-balance. Unfortunately, there is no magic pill for increasing our energy and frequency. We must reach out for our spiritual tools. One which connects us to our higher self – meditation.

Transcendental Meditation – practiced by famous actor Hugh Jackman. I did the Transcendental Meditation course with Angela Lander’s in Glasgow, Scotland, almost 10 years ago. After the sudden death of my father, I found the bereavement phase extremely painful and difficult. My older sister recommended this course to me, and I haven’t looked back since. I am now using it to connect to my inner-self to help me endure the current pandemic of the Coronavirus in Italy. It is a tool which I can take wherever I go. No lockdowns or restrictions can stop me from finding peace within. No one or no- external thing can take that away from you.

When we begin our spiritual journey. We often expect immediate gratification and results. We become frustrated when we try to run the show, and things don’t go the way we want them to go. However, if we are committed and dedicated to our spiritual growth and recovery, things will start to go more smoothly and we will be able to deal with situations which used to faze us.

Getting Mediation right takes a lot of hard work and if you want results you need to be committed. But practice makes perfect. For your spiritual wellbeing, this is the tool to help you be joyous, happy and free.

Connecting to yourself daily through meditation is just as important as a daily shower. It will give you a clean and cleared mind and set you up for the day ahead.
